ABL Aluminium Components Processing

One Stop Shop

ABL’s capabilities, which are all based under one roof, allow you to concentrate on your core business because responsibility for all the non-essential manufacturing processes is handled by us before delivery. In practice this means that companies that are making components in-house can free up space and working capital by out-sourcing to ABL – therefore taking advantage of our one stop shop.

Aluminium Extrusions - Design for Manufacture

ABL Aluminium Components supports its customers through the use of logistic services for aluminium extrusions and components resulting in increased service levels and shorter lead times. Design support is offered, including full CAD facilities, from initial design of the aluminium extrusions right through the design process with particular emphasis on design for manufacture to reduce production costs. On-going production engineering support assists in achieving continuous improvements, which in turn help to reduce costs and ensure ABL offers competitive prices and value for money to its customers. Small batch quantities are offered to support customers with their aluminium extrusions requirements.

Aluminium Extrusions - Machining, Finishing and Assembly

Having all its facilities and processes under one roof allows ABL to tightly control its aluminium extrusions component machining, finishing and assembly operations which in turn allows the company to offer high quality and short lead times. The quality department uses up to date measuring equipment including CMM technology and also offers APQP quality tools to control quality and support its customers.

Surface Treatment

Anodising can substantially increase corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and anodised parts provide better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal. ABL Aluminium Components has the capacity to anodise components produced from aluminium extrusions and ranging from 10 mm to 2.7 metres in shades of gold, silver, natural and black.
Anodise your components at ABL to achieve a number of cosmetic effects, either with thick porous coatings that can absorb dyes or with thin transparent coatings that add interference effects to reflected light.
Anodising can be performed on parts you supply or as one of the added processes applied to aluminium extrusions and components we manufacture for you.

The company has its own powder coating and anodising facilities offering finishes in any RAL colour, polishing and chemical brightening.
